The subtitle for this book is beautiful country, delicious food. I would add, great book

As far cookbooks go this one is not stuffed with recipes, the result being a very effective overview of Norwegian cuisine. If you haven't before tried Norwegian recipes this is a good place to start.

The photography is beautiful and the text instructive. I especially appreciated the whys and how-comes about Norwegian food traditions.

I suspect this book is meant as a cross between a travelog and a cook book. The result is a success, a combination of beauty and utility.
