This dessert gets it's name from very down to earth ingredients which are all gussied up. The main ingredients are applesauce, bread crumbs crowned with a cloud of whipped cream. And just like any practical farm girl, who does her job effectivly and quickly this dessert is quick to prepare, and the effect- well, judge for your self.

VEILED FARM GIRL

2-3 TLB butter
200-300 ml rusk crumbs
2-3 TLB sugar
300 ml applesauce
300 ml whipping cream
Melt the butter in a pan. Add crumbs and sugar, fry until golden brown. Whip cream. Layer crumbs, applesauce and whipped cream. Top layer is whipping cream.
